Elizabeth and Andrew’s vintage 1920’s, “Gatsby” style wedding held at the William Sauntry Mansion of Stillwater, MN was absolutely memorable from the moment I walked up the steps. I knew this day was going to be special – not only were they celebrating their love, but they were also blending their families officially, and that is such a reason to celebrate.

The William Sauntry Mansion speaks for itself – rich and timely, beautifully maintained, and full of a mysterious energy. Walking up the staircase it felt like I was entering a portal into another era, and when I opened the door to the bridal suite I gave a silent hallelujah – every detail bride Elizabeth thought of was stunning, elegant and so perfect.

From the beading on the dress (it was HEAVY – I was in awe!), to the diamond necklace, to the furs draped off her shoulders – it screamed movie star from head to toe.

It wasn’t until the guests started to arrive, dressed in full 1920’s attire, that I was suddenly made aware Elizabeth and Andrew were pulling out all the stops! That’s right – I had no idea it was “Gatsby themed” until it was right in front of me!

It is so cool to see all the unique ways in which people are choosing to celebrate their love, and this wedding is one that I will hands down remember forever.
